Vinita Nair
The journalist joined ABC News in July 2004 and has since covered many topics including investigations like the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, as well as school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair started her role as an ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 at ABC News Now. For her work as a correspondent offered live news and briefings to ABC's network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17th, 2008 until February 18, 2011. She was partnered with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson on both programs. Nair told the viewers on World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th February 2011. Her final day with ABC News would be Friday, February 18. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor for KDVR Denver, was her the direct successor. World News Now, February 18th was a tribute to Nair. Both former and current colleagues were featured in the segments. She treated the crew to hot food in her final day.
